Out-of-Band Management Product Family Earns Physical Safety Certification for Central Office Environment
CHATSWORTH, CA - June 24, 2009 - MRV COMMUNICATIONS, INC., today announced that its LX 4000T Series of console servers has achieved compliance with Network Equipment Building Systems (NEBS) Level 3, the leading product safety and reliability standard for telecommunications equipment. MRV is a leading networking company with a full line of packet-optical transport (POTS), carrier Ethernet, 40G networking and out-of-band networking products.
This certification means that the LX 4000T console servers meet all safety standards required for use in U.S. tier one central office applications. To become certified at NEBS Level 3, the LX 4000T products passed strict physical, electrical and environmental tests and demonstrated that MRV?s solutions will operate safely and reliably in a central office environment.
The LX 4000T console servers provide network administrators the ability to perform secure remote management of operational and physical infrastructures. The LX Series of out-of-band networking products provide the redundancy and security features to deploy a complete, end-to-end management solution. Network and system administrators can proactively respond to all remote management, configuration and data acquisition needs as though they were physically present utilizing standard IP connectivity andor via optional modem interface. The flagship LX 4000T Series console servers are available in 8, 16, 32 and 48 port models. In addition to remotely accessible console servers, the solution includes intelligent power and sensor management capabilities.
