Remote Management and Power Control

The 5250 Power Control Series from MRV Communications delivers AC power control solutions combining intelligent power distribution and remote power control. The 4800 Power Control Series provides DC power control offering the same high level of monitoring and control as the AC family but designed for telco and utilities, and emerging DC based datacenter solutions. Power management is a key component of MRV's Out-of-Band Network solutions which provide cost-effective approach for remote networks and systems to ensure minimal operational downtime and eliminate site visits.

The 4800/5250 Power Control Series allows administrators to remotely power-on, power-off or reboot equipment and monitor power consumption. The 4800/5250 models are accessible through MRV's LX Series Console Servers with enhanced security capabilities, including SSH v2, SNMP V3, Radius, SecurID, TACACS+, and are FIPS 140 certified. Through a single management interface supplied by the LX Series Console Servers an administrator can manage servers, routers, switches, telephony equipment, power, environmental sensors, physical infrastructure and security systems in a wide variety of applications.
