Fiber Driver®
Fixed Optics and Media Converters
The Fiber Driver® platform enjoys a successful history of leading-edge technology and innovation. The modular design of chassis and application modules has been a popular choice for advanced network architecture for over twenty years.
Designed before SFP and XFP modular transceiver standards, fixed optical components are integrated into these media converters. Each converter is fully compatible with the entire Fiber Driver® chassis and module family, and maintains a cost advantage for well-defined networks without changing configuration needs. Some of these converters also provide remote management in addition to simple copper-to-fiber media conversion. Remote management enables converter-based demarcation services on these modules.
If your network uses specific optical wavelengths and media components, then the Fiber Driver® fixed optics media converters may be the right choice for your environment.
Copper to Fiber With IPLess Remote Management
The Copper-to-Fiber converter family with IP-Less Remote Management connects copper Ethernet and Fast Ethernet media to a range of single-mode, multi-mode, and single fiber optical options. Read more »
Copper to Fiber
The Copper-to-Fiber media conversion modules connect legacy copper network elements (Ethernet, T1, E1, DS3, and E3, for example) to new or existing fiber optic infrastructure. Read more »
Multi-mode Extender
The Multi-mode Extender technology allows transmission of high-speed signals over multi-mode fibers to distances beyond defined standards. Read more »
