The Fiber Driver® SFP Multi-Rate Dual Transponder provides a new level of deployment flexibility and inventory management. It combines selectable data rates, internal crossbar (any-port-to-any-port) physical layer connectivity, and Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) optical transceiver technology. It supports a wide range of optical infrastructure solutions including media conversion, signal repeating, lambda conversion, and Wave Division Multiplexing (WDM). The SFP Multi-Rate Dual Transponder can create self-healing redundant links for mission critical applications or support physical layer multicasting of any protocol within its range. The Fiber Driver® SFP Multi-Rate Dual Transponder performs full 3R signal regeneration (re-shaping, re-timing, and re-transmission) on each channel at any selected data rate from 42 Mbps to 3.2 Gbps. Signal retiming may be disabled for 2R application options.
