Optical Spectrum Analyzer (OSA)

The Optical Spectrum Analyzer (OSA) module provides real-time optical performance analysis for an aggregated optical DWDM link in the C-Band on the 100GHz grid. It can operate independently in a Fiber Driver® chassis to monitor signal status, wavelength, frequency, signal power, and estimated optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR) for each individual wavelength channel.
An integrated network manager (LNXNM-OT) module in the chassis provides access to the OSA data through secure serial and remote Ethernet interfaces. The data may be viewed in text or graphically through MRV's MegaVision® Pro.
The 8-port optical switch (OSW8) can also integrate with the OSA to remotely analyze eight separate DWDM trunks with no manual reconfiguration.
