Fiber Driver 10/100 Ethernet

The EM316SW-XY combines two copper (RJ-45) 10/100 Ethernet ports and two modular SFP sockets that are configured with DIP switches to serve four traditional network roles.

    Copper-to-Fiber Converter: Creates two independent conversion paths

    Self-Healing Converter: Connects a local Fast Ethernet segment to a redundant fiber-optic trunk with nearly instantaneous failover for high-availability networks

    Repeater: Extends a single-mode or a multi-mode fiber link in addition to repeating a Fast Ethernet signal Mixed Media Layer 2

    Ethernet Switch: Bridge two Fast Ethernet and two optical network segments with collision isolation between all four ports
