LambdaDriver - Passive
The Lambda Driver line of passive chassis provides an inexpensive solution for expanding the all-optical footprint of CWDM and DWDM multi-service networks. These chassis are designed to host passive OADMs, Multiplexers, Demultiplexers, Band Splitters and Optical Monitor Taps. The chassis can serve to add overflow capacity of an existing Lambda Driver system by providing additional module real estate for additional all-optical components. Passive components can be strategically placed in the network to add topological flexibility in the distribution of WDM services. The LDP series chassis can easily host the necessary components to add WDM capabilities to an existing network consisting of mixed vendor network appliances.
The LDP300 provides three Lambda Driver form factor slots while the LDP100 provides a single slot capacity and hosts a wide variety of all-optical components. Both chassis are completely passive, requires no electricity and generates no heat.
