LambdaDriver™ Management Module
EM800/1600-MNGP
EM800-MNGP/EM1600-MNGP are management modules of the LambdaDriver™ Optical Transport System. The EM800-MNGP is used in the LD200, LD400P & LD800P chassis while the EM1600-MNGP is used in the LD1600L and LD1600P chassis. The EM800-MNGP/EM1600-MNGP support the enhanced functionality, control and information acquisition available in the chassis models LD200/LD200L, LD400P/LD400L, LD800P and LD1600P/LD1600L.
With Linux-based system software and an advanced hardware design the management module incorporates many advanced features and delivers an impressive level of performance, providing complete setup and management control of the full range of LambdaDriver™ products.
Management Options
The EM800-MNGP/EM1600-MNGP can be accessed both locally and remotely via the access options listed below:
- Local CLI (Command Line Interface) via RS-232 serial interface
- Remote CLI access via TELNET
- SNMP management - The module performs as a fully featured SNMP agent
- GUI management (SNMP based) via the MRV MVPro NMS.

- Extensive management features - Link status, optical performance monitoring, RLB/LLB (Loop-Back) control, remote laser shutoff, Chassis inventory and HW/SW version report of installed modules.
- Real Time Protocol (RTP) support - automatically synchronizes system clock with designated time server
- Automatic logging of system events and automatic (day/time) command scheduler maintenance with no manual intervention - Syslog Management event scheduler time based policies and operation
- Advanced remote configuration and software maintenance - System configuration TFTP/ FTP upload download with easy to use editable ASCII configuration files
- High reliability using management module redundancy option (LD1600P/L only)
