4xOC48/STM-16 (TM-OC48D)


The LambdaDriver TM-OCM48D Muxponder uses advanced TDM technology to transport 4 separate OC48/STM16 data streams into a 10 Gbps DWDM trunk port over a single pair of fibers.

This solution provides a signifi cant cost reduction and
excellent fiber utilization when compared to discrete optical multiplexing.

The TM-OCM48D incorporates 4 OC48/STM16 SFP based access interfaces that can accommodate various types of SFPs e.g. Multimode or Singlemode. The trunk port is a 10Gb/s DWDM interface that can be ordered either as predefi ned wavelength or with tunable laser.

The TM-OCM48D is a single long slot size module that can be used in the LD1600, LD1600L and LD400L Lambda Driver Chassis.

Local and remote LoopBack per port can be remotely activated via the management module to facilitate troubleshooting and network maintenance.

Two synchronization modes are possible:
- Internal – all tributaries are synchronized by an
internal clock source
- External – all tributaries are synchronized by the
clock extracted from one of the tributaries assigned
as “master clock” via the management card.
