Media Cross Connect™ (MCC) Product Family

“Programmable and modular physical layer switching system”

Media Cross Connect™ (MCC) Product FamilyThe Media Cross Connect (MCC) product family is a modular and programmable patch panel system designed especially to facilitate test automation in demanding test and simulation environments. The flexible MCC design fits nicely with many other applications including digital video distribution, enterprise networks, and media conversion with fiber optics.

MCC chassis options include modular units with maximum configurations of 288, 144, and 72 ports and data rates ranging from 0 to 10 Gbps. These units mount in 9U, 5U, and 3.5U rack space, respectively. Each modular MCC chassis mounts in a standard 19” rack and accommodates any of the MCC blades in the main backplane slots. Special slots are provided to host the EM316LNXNM-MCC Network Management (NM) module and for future expansion of the MCC design. There are also standalone 1U blades with 32 and 34 ports.
