The MRV MR3325-S4C is a
24 ports GE Ethernet Layer 3 Routing Stackable switch, in only
1RU, with an optional 10GE uplink advanced routing capabilities and
intelligent Quality Of Service (QoS) and
enhanced security features. The MR3325-S4C switch is comprised of 20 10/100/1000 Base-T ports and 4 combo GE ports plus 1 optional I/O module for 10GE uplink. Each combo port combines a RJ45 connector and an SFP fiber-optic transceiver for flexibility of connections to the network and to other devices.
These
24 GE plus 10GE router incorporate a stacking capability for "grow-with-you" networking solutions and
10GE capabilities. Up to 8 systems can be stacked together. Users can add units to reach maximum 384 GE ports per + 8 10GE ports in a one stack with one IP management. Routers are stacked together through dedicated 2 interfaces with high-speed stack cables for a total of 40Gbps that provide high-speed of multiple GE connections, allowing the entire stack to perform as a single IP entity. The MRV staking-wise technology provides the highest resiliency available.
Applications
10GE Modular Routed Network - Multimedia AwareA A 10GE modular routed backbone built using the MR3325-S4C and MR3349-S4C routers aggregated by means of the MR2408 8-port 10GE concentrator. High availability and resiliency are achieved by modular technology integration: routing, VRRP, link LACP, MSTP, stacking (including close loop stacking), redundant power supply and advanced secure management including event alarms).

GE Concentrator Router - L3 Aggregation Switching : For three-tier network designs, the MR3325 is a feature-rich and value-based GE aggregation router. Multiple 10/100-based switches with GE Ethernet uplinks can be attached to the MR3325’s triple speed ports that offer wire-speed performance on every connection. Having a rich set of l2/l3 features makes the MR3325 a great aggregation router by providing enhanced Security and Advanced QoS, allowing an enterprise to further extend the life of their existing 10/100 switches or hubs, as well as to install new Multimedia services on the networks. In addition it support future expansion to 10GE networking using the MR3325 10GE expansion module.
