OptiSwitch-Z16000
16-Blade Modular L2/3/4 Switch
The OptiSwitch-Z16000 product is a modular Layer 2/3/4 Switch, optimized for scalability, reliability, and performance. The OS-Z16000 is the large data center form factor of OptiSwitch-Z featuring 16 blade slots, 256Gbps of switching capacity, and 175Mpps throughput.
Each blade is a complete router with up to four connectors for I/O and Processor Modules, including 10/100 Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, on-board CPU, and other function modules. Elimination of any separate management module is key to the low system entry cost.
The OptiSwitch-Z highly configurable flow based policing with rate limiting capabilities provides the power to create an optimized network. Flow priority can be defined by TCP/UDP quintet (source address, destination address, IP protocol, source port, destination port), as well as additional parameters such as inbound port and TCP flags, enabling effective implementation of Service Level Agreements.
