The DWDM-MD-40 from MRV is a passive forty-channel multiplexer and de-multiplexer (MUX/DeMUX) combination for concentrated fiber optic networks. It combines any combination of the most common optical ITU grid channels from 21 through 60 into a single Dense Wave Division Multiplexed (DWDM) trunk beam linked to a matching DWDM-MD-40 at a remote site.

The DWDM-MD-40 is ideal for connecting multiple sites using leased or owned single optical fiber. It is an economical alternative for fiber expansion without leasing additional fibers or installing new lines.
