• Command Line Interface (CLI): The MCC CLI offers industry-standard code familiar to most lab/engineering personnel that is easily integrated into scripting scenarios. The CLI management is accessible either through the RS-232 serial local console port or through the RJ-45 Ethernet port using SSH or telnet protocols.
  
  Many of the functions of a test lab such as topology changes, scheduled testing, network simulation, regression testing equipment reservation etc., can greatly benefit from scripted automation. The MCC’s native CLI can be integrated into a scripting environment such as Tcl/Expect or PERL. There are also commercial scripting products that integrate the MCC into their product offerings such as EdenTree Technology’s “Lab Manager” software package.
• SNMP Management: The MCC can also be managed using Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). This control can be accomplished through any industry standard network management system (NMS) using the on-board SNMP v3 agent included in the MCC firmware.
• On-board GUI: An intuitive, Java-based GUI resides in the firmware of the MCC. Access to this management tool is accomplished through an HTTP browser. This GUI includes “drag and drop” topology configuration, inventory management and other administrative functions.
