Once confined to the LAN or campus environment, Ethernet has been adopted into today's growing optical infrastructure. It now covers everything from the enterpise to the campus network, and from the core of the metro area to the subscriber access network.

Single Fiber EFM
Single Fiber Bidirectional Dual W/L SFP Transceiver
Single fiber bidirectional Small Form-Factor Pluggables (SFPs) provide a simple way to deliver Fiber to the X (FTTX), by combining the transmit and receive functions onto a single fiber without an external splitter/combiner. With these products you can use a single fiber (instead of a fiber pair) to deliver 100 Mbps Ethernet, OC-3/STM-1, or even Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channel to your customer. Enterprise customers also can use these modules to cut fiber cabling needs in half in campus or fiber to the desktop (FTTD) environments.

4-Port Ethernet Switch

The Fiber Driver® optical solutions family includes a four-port Ethernet and Fast Ethernet switch module (EM316-4SW-R). The switch separates Ethernet collision domains between ports by filtering local traffic from propagating to another port and the rest of the network.

Optical Amplifier

Fiber Driver® EM316EDFA modules provide a multi-function, low-noise, Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA) solution ideal for Metro Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) as well as Single Wavelength Division Multiplexing (SWDM) applications.
